13L Game - Responsible Gaming

13L Game responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.

Play within your limits

Responsible gaming at 13L Game starts before you open the app. Decide on a fixed weekly budget, say ₹500, and load your account only through a PhonePe wallet or a dedicated GPay UPI ID tied to a low-balance account. Keeping gaming money separate from your salary account makes overspending physically harder and easier to track at a glance.

Set a phone timer for every session, 30 or 60 minutes is a practical ceiling for most players. When it rings, close the app regardless of whether you are up or down. Players who enforce a time ceiling are far less likely to exceed their spending limit in the same session.

Never chase losses. Treat every deposit as the price of entertainment, the same way you would pay for a cinema ticket or a meal out, with no expectation of a financial return. The moment playing stops being fun, it is time to stop.

Warning signs of problem gambling

Problem gambling rarely appears overnight. Early signals include spending more than planned, thinking about gaming while at work or with family, and feeling irritable or restless when you cannot play. If you have ever topped up via BHIM UPI or a credit card after deciding not to, that impulse is worth examining honestly.

More serious warning signs include hiding gaming activity from a spouse or parent, borrowing money to fund deposits, or missing EMI payments because gaming spend took priority. Mood swings tied directly to wins and losses, brief elation followed by guilt or shame, are clear red flags that gaming has moved beyond entertainment.

If you recognise two or more of these patterns in yourself, use the self-assessment tool in the 13L Game Responsible Gaming centre or speak with a trained counsellor. Acting early is significantly more effective than waiting until the problem becomes severe.

Deposit, loss and time limits

13L Game lets you set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit caps directly in your account settings. For example, a ₹1,000 weekly deposit limit will block any top-up that would breach the threshold. Reducing a limit takes effect immediately; increasing one requires a mandatory 48-hour waiting period to prevent impulsive overrides in the heat of the moment.

Loss limits automatically end your session once your net losses reach the ceiling you have chosen, and further play is blocked until the limit resets. Time limits add a third layer, set a 90-minute daily allowance and receive an on-screen warning at 75 minutes, with a hard stop at 90.

To activate any limit, navigate to Profile → Responsible Gaming → Set Limits inside the 13L Game app. Controls apply universally across all funding methods, PhonePe, GPay, BHIM UPI, and net banking, so switching payment apps cannot bypass the platform-level safeguards.

Self-exclusion and cool-off

13L Game offers two structured break tools. A cool-off period suspends your account for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, no login, no deposits, no play. It is the right choice when you need a short reset without permanently closing your account. Requests are processed instantly at Profile → Responsible Gaming → Take a Break.

For a longer or indefinite pause, self-exclusion closes your account for a minimum of six months. Reactivation after the exclusion term ends requires a formal review plus a mandatory 24-hour waiting period, intentional friction designed to give you time to reconsider before returning. Any pending withdrawal balance remains accessible throughout the exclusion period.

If you suspect a serious gambling problem, self-exclusion combined with professional counselling provides a far stronger recovery foundation than a short cool-off period alone. Both tools are always available to you at no cost and with no questions asked.
